Rugged, cedar-lined mountains, a sky full of stars, kids smiling as they roast marshmallows over a crackling campfire…come discover what camping was meant to be!
At Indian Springs Ranch & Campground, you can enjoy camping in a tranquil, rustic atmosphere just a short drive from Cañon City’s shopping, dining, and attractions.
Our family-owned, working ranch is full of activity, grazing cattle, and horses. History buffs will be happy to discover that our ranch is home to an old stagecoach road and hand-hewn log cabin built by Wild Bill McKinney. And because we are a Colorado Natural Area, you may see deer, coyotes, rabbits, or wild turkeys while enjoying the scenery. With horseshoes, swimming, hiking, arrowhead hunting, and nearby fishing, there’s always something fun for you and your family to do.
Here, you really are “Out West.”
Indian Springs Ranch & Campground is located between Penrose and Cañon City on County Road 67. Turn north on CR 67 just west of the Fremont County Airport. The entrance is a little over 3 miles north of the turnoff and the campground is 1¼ miles west on the ranch road.
